I received a set for a Christmas gift. I received another set off of Ebay. This specific tin does show up on Ebay, and no one wants them, so you’re probably set there.

Kinda odd. It feels papery, yet it does fan. It would probably be what you’d get if you mixed Aladdin 1001s smooth finish on a more flexible thinner stock. Maybe? These do last awhile though, like an average bicycle deck. I unfortunately ran one deck through a texas hold’em session. Heh. Norman Rockwell…? No, that’s not a finish. Though it should be aha…It also has a  bicycle calendar card for 1997 attached to it. Hmm.

-Norman Rockwell. I have no idea who this is. But now it’s a brand??? Of playing cards. It has the USPC seal on it. It has bicycle inside the deck. It’s the typical poker card with the typical poker court faces. It has 3 jokers and a calendar. Thank goodness texas hold’em isn’t popular yet in 1997. I don’t want any more texas hold’em rules in my decks. Dear Mr. USPC-san sir. Stop including Texas hold’em rules in your decks. I think they make a great holiday gift. At least for me ;–;. Makes a sentimental piece of history too? I guess. Saturday Evening post with Santa from Dec 21. 1935. Neat. Oh. I guess Norman Rockwell was the person who did the back art. Haha. So in this two tin, you get two pieces of old history. On a red and green deck that you probably wouldn’t use for magics.

Absolut Deck

Its Monday, post earlier, since I’m gone during the evening. I find that the average post takes me about half an hour. Not bad for a time commitment of sorts.

Name: Absolut Deck

At the time of this post, Ebay is your only bet. Average cost of these decks is usually sitting in the 10$ range. I was able to get 5$ a deck on ebay…but that’s just me. They used to be cheaper. Supposedly. They probably won’t stay cheap though. Production stopped a few years back and such.

-The Court Cards; they be holding drinks. Difference betweens suits is the pips on their outfits. The Joker’s all out. AoS Is a little on the bold side. Ad Card is a nice addition for ad/collectible purposes.

The finish. Its PLASTIC. Plastic means it basically lasts forever. Unless you’re willingly crimping them. Don’t do it. After a month of use, dropping it on a table, the deck still lands full flat. No odd bends to them. Pretty good if you want to have something to use forever. Pretty bad if you want to do fans and spreads. Pretty good if you want to do cuts and XCM. Pretty bad if you want a non plastic deck. On a side note, the box is kinda unstable. Like the lid. Don’t do box flips. The cards come flying out.

They’re PLASTIC. Plastic is bad.

Blue and silver in a white border. Vodka bottle in the middle. Uhm. That vodka bottle in the middle makes it one way. So do all the clubs and spades running north to south. But that’s not why you’re using them of course. Pretty. I told my friends there were hearts on the back
They didn’t see them behind the vodka bottle. .. .. .. Still. Kudos to Absolut for a good advertising product.

Center Double: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ○

Absolut : Easy does it.

Plastics cards are super thin. In addition they ‘stick’ to each other. Doubles don’t get any easier then this. Well, at least the center double I use.

-Absolut Vodka. I wouldn’t drink these cards, since… I don’t drink. But they have drink recpies on them. 10 of them. Repeated on all four suits. Not that you would use this deck for drinking games or anything. Plasticky. Good for XCM, unless you count fans and spreads as XCM. Rarara…uhhh I personally like them. I don’t need more though since they last.
