If you want casino cards cancelled, they’re basically free. Well at least most generic casino cards are. I was able to get these off of Spinetti’s on Ebay. Pretty sure they still carry a bunch. Uh huh. Cost is 10(10what?) per set of 5, though shipping is $7.50. Buying there gives you some sort of coupon for future purchases though. It was either a discount, or free shipping. I forget.

Ebay stores only? Which means the supply can only decrease with time.

Its generic Aristocrat stock, of which I am not too big a fan of. I also don’t like how it fans. See what I just did there? <__<  Club Special? Whatever that means… A good deck probably would keep flat longer than a bicycle deck, though thick usually means absorbs dust and sweat for me. Also the fact that its my favorite deck to tear up probably doesn’t help. So if you happen to use them, keep them away from me? Yes?

Quite average. It works. For awhile.

Can you say minimalistic? Text. On a white background. Who needs borders when that’s basically all you’re getting. With text. Red or Blue on White. Of course, I only picked red, since,,,you know,,,my favorite color is red…You could probably stick one of these facedown in a blank deck and get away with it.

Hmm. Imagine if the text wasn’t there. Then you’d have a blank giant fan. But the text is there. So, hope you like seeing lots of L’s , La’s, and broken fragments on top, and a bunch of Ls on the bottom. Its like it spells Lalllllllll….if you were dyslexic or something. Keep in mind that the above photo is using a deck I left alone outside in sunlight for quite some time, and I cropped out my hand.

-Well, I won’t be picking up more of them. Because,,,they’re not super totally awesome. But they’re nice to have. For ripping corners off and in half and whatever other way you want. The jumbo index only helps since you can actually rip off a larger corner for numbered indices.

Ecko Unlimited

So yes. I’m starting to run through the case. And randomly picking out things that catch my eye.

Ebay. The place where you’ll find it. I have no idea when these were produced. Probably should look into it later. I got these off ebay for 4$ shipping included. Decent for something that’s out of print.

Ebay. I just ran a search on Ebay. Nothing shows up. How depressing. Ran a search on yahoo. Nothing shows up. Well duh, yahoo isn’t that great. Ran a search on google. Marc Ecko Collectible PlayingCards by Echo Unltd. Available through amazon.com at 3.99$ a deck. Thanks google.

Ecko : Not quite standard, not quite bridge.

So. This Ecko deck. Playing cards are made of paper, and this one is no different. Except it has that plasticky covering feel all over it. You know. The kind that souvenir playing cards from tourist locations feel like. Except better. These actually fan half decently. Waterfalls/Anacondas still have that crisp snap to it at least.

Unfortunately, because of that stiffness, faros become more difficult. Doesn’t mean its not possible. Its just less…motivated. Even when the faro does go through, you’re probably off by one with this deck. So…stiff.

Table Spread: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ○ ○

The edges on the back of this deck line up just where the spread should end between each card. Which leaves that little spray can ‘E’ showing in the middle. Don’t try fans though, those don’t get any better unfortunately.

-What? Ecko has its own set of playing cards? That Ecko? The one that sells clothing and shoes and more? Well. The cards are a good addition for a collection. Wouldn’t use them much though. Not standard sized. Not bridges sized. Ultra thin back borders. Shrugs.
