Bicycle Vintage “Fan Back”

Lazy Day.

Name: Bicycle Vintage (#2 Fan Back)
Date: 6.8.2009

Cost: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ○ ○ ○ ○
Typically in the 3-4$ range. The extra price you’re paying is for a back design that’s ’vintage’ and a generally higher quality card. And unavailable in retail stores.

1st (re)printing back in 2006. And then limited. Reserves should be dwindling as we speak.

More durable than your average bicycle. A little thicker too. Kinda closer towards bees. In a good way.

Better than average. Let’s rephrase that. Noticeably easy. I blame the strength of the card.

Vintage Fan Back. Special if you’re old or something. Or like using decks with a ‘vintage’ feel. Or like gambling moves and want to use a bicycle deck that isn’t rider back.(ie go watch the credits for the movie ’shade’. Gets + points for being available in red and blue. Not that I care about blue, but other people might.

Superflip: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ○ ○ ○
Ah. After 20 posts, we repeat a move. I think. Maybe? I forget. Superflip holds well in consistency. At least…I find it easier. Theres enough snap and hold in the card to make this sleight worthwhile. But then…you’re bending the cards… and these decks aren’t something you’d use everyday. Unless you were CDO or something,,,which is like OCD, but all the letters are in the correct order.

Vintage : What are you doing here?

-Well. it’s the 2006 bicycle branded card. Vintage edition. Printed in various backs. You get your standard bicycle pips and faces. With a old renewed Ace of Spades.  This happens to be #2 of many. Fan back. Because tallies also had a fan back. Tallys? Why do you keep mentioning tallys…what are they…Anyways. Once again. What retail bicycle decks should be. Quality controlled. And not papery bendable thin. Those are no good. Except for practice. But these are awesome. They get ultra bonus points for including blanks instead of poker rules. Which means uh…magic inclined.  But why practice with bad and perform with good. that’s called inconsistency. Hm. There has to be a cure for this somehow. Well that’s probably why I’m doing all these posts. Trying to locate a brand that I’ll stock up in bricks on…hm…..

Bee RJRTC

Welcome back?

Name: RJRTC 2007 Bee
Date: 6.5.2009

Hit or miss here. I picked up a brick at 3$ a pack and then some last year in May 2008. The price on Ebay kinda jumps up and down a lot depending on how much you buy, and how fast you kill decks. Lucky me.

If these were readily available like bicycles, me and probably a bunch of other people would truly be happy. Reality says they’re not. Promotional items for camel cigarettes in 2007 , you might be lucky to find them in liquor store rather than eBay. eBay…..darn. huge SIGH. At least I don’t use them everyday.

Can you say AWESOME? As white bordered bees are rare enough to come by in the first places, these are additionally super. A pack I opened last year last around 6months. And it still fans today. And such. This bee is strong. And surprising durable.

Very easy. Maybe I’m just overall biased towards being favorable. But there’s nothing wrong here. Cards seem to be cut well on all sides.

Available in Red and Blue. They’ve been referred to as ….watermelons? Because the yellow whatever look like seeds..? I don’t know…they look like some butterfly like pattern to me. But still quite … whats the word…refreshing? Like,, a back that’s white bordered, isn’t just one color, or shades of black and white. Well, its just red/ blue + black + yellow. But still made of so much awesome. Also correctly looks good in fans and spreads.

-This deck might be what is referred to as ‘exclusive’ Unless you’re a heavy smoker of camel branded cigarettes in 2007, you’ll have to find other ways to acquire this deck. Might I suggest Ebay. Over the last year of tracking this deck , they’ve sold anywhere between 2 $ to 15 $ a deck. I sold some of mine off at that upper limit….yea…just the blues ones. Since I don’t like blue decks. I mean…I like red more…but tahts besides the point. Which is. They pop up on eBay a lot. So. it’s a BEE branded deck. With white borders. That alone is awesome + points right there. The box design is also quite subtle. Only words are on the bottom of the box. I wish all my other decks had boxes like these…
