Arrco U.S. Regulation

What was I doing today? Acquired Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects. Played around with those. Played Animal Crossing with my own room.

Name: Arrco U.S. Regulation (Standard)
Date: 6.4.2009

What the price of a deck of cards should cost. 2-3$. Great.

I might need to reconsider how I’m ranking this. Well. For most of the world. These aren’t available in retail stores. Unfortunately. Fortunately, there’s online stores where about 5-6 gets you a red blue pair and 30$ + shipping gets you a brick. But these stopped production? Shrugs. EVERYBODY PANIC ! … but not all at once please.

Arrco : Macro Border
Arrco : Macro Border

I gave bicycles a … I forget…what did I give it again? I gave it a 7?…rreallyy?!!? Well if you read over it again, I’m going to go change that to a 5. Retail store Costco bikes. Because this deck gets a 7. Just for this deck. Because this deck is what bicycle brand should’ve been. Sure the deck dies and won’t fan perfectly with use. But you get a stiffer card with a ‘plastic’ finish. This ‘finish’ may be where the stiffness comes from. Buh. But it’s a good deck of cards. Good. Also the borders seem to be wider.Maybe its just an illusion. But its a pretty good illusion.

Faro isn’t anything special here. Weaves easily, but the stiffness kinda cuts in at random places.

Back Design: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ○ ○ ○ ○
For a one color back , its not bad.
Note that the white edge border thing is a bit thicker. At least by 3-5 dimples or something. Rough estimate. I don’t really like the two diamonds in the middle. But at least its available in a red/blue motif. Thank goodness.

Under Pressure: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Stiff means the cards don’t bend easily. And after. They don’t bend back easily either. Avoid killing this deck ahead of its time please.

Arrco : Good for balance.

-It’s Arrco U.S. Regulation. Not to be confused some other arrcos out there. Like the Tahoe version or the card shuffler brand of arrco I sometimes see on Ebay. Or the arrco cards with pictures for backs. Or the arrco brand with that weird arrco branded ace of spades. Well. This brand comes in standard and jumbo indices. But if you’re using them for sleight work. Maybe you should just use standard. Maybe? Easily a good brand to get used to using. Though you might not be happy with fanning and pressure fanning and other fans, because of that ‘plastic’ finish. They couldn’t come up with a better name? Why not, broken fan finish or unfinished or something. Not that I have anything against it, or how it fans. Just that…other decks produces better fans. And stuff. But good for sleight work. Good. That’s more important. Supposedly.

I received a set for a Christmas gift. I received another set off of Ebay. This specific tin does show up on Ebay, and no one wants them, so you’re probably set there.

Kinda odd. It feels papery, yet it does fan. It would probably be what you’d get if you mixed Aladdin 1001s smooth finish on a more flexible thinner stock. Maybe? These do last awhile though, like an average bicycle deck. I unfortunately ran one deck through a texas hold’em session. Heh. Norman Rockwell…? No, that’s not a finish. Though it should be aha…It also has a  bicycle calendar card for 1997 attached to it. Hmm.

-It has santa on the back, but its not the ‘santa’ back (-1) Haha I had a set of santa backs, but I sold them back to Ebay :/

-Its historical? (-1)

-I won’t use them much (-1)

-Norman Rockwell. I have no idea who this is. But now it’s a brand??? Of playing cards. It has the USPC seal on it. It has bicycle inside the deck. It’s the typical poker card with the typical poker court faces. It has 3 jokers and a calendar. Thank goodness texas hold’em isn’t popular yet in 1997. I don’t want any more texas hold’em rules in my decks. Dear Mr. USPC-san sir. Stop including Texas hold’em rules in your decks. I think they make a great holiday gift. At least for me ;–;. Makes a sentimental piece of history too? I guess. Saturday Evening post with Santa from Dec 21. 1935. Neat. Oh. I guess Norman Rockwell was the person who did the back art. Haha. So in this two tin, you get two pieces of old history. On a red and green deck that you probably wouldn’t use for magics.
