Bootleg Hell.

It’s Wednesday ~ waves arms around in the air for no reason. Sitting around playing Blazblue. Sitting around playing Touhou music on piano. Sitting around hunting items on eBay. I picked up a deck of OLD las vegas club. yay. but thats not the deck for today’s post. : / Its this deck. I found underneath the seat in my car. Haha.

edit : Yay. Today I learned how to use the page break ‘more’ tab. So now you have to click in to read the rest of the post. Hahaha.

Name: BCG Playing Cards
Date: 7.15.2009

I didn’t buy these. They came as a xmas gift of some sort. Apparently I got a red/blue set. It was sold as target under ‘travel poker set’ whatever that means. China. Hm. Selling stuff. For target. Surprising….

BCG : Notice the light glare on the deck.

Oh dear. Why did these ever make it to the US. Uhm. Apparently Target sells these under the Target name. hahahahahahah

BCG : What/ You have a guarantee?
BCG : What/ You have a guarantee?
BCG : uhhh if I'm not mistaken, that looks like the Carta Mundi Joker you stole as well.

edit : yea, Its Carta Mundi.

BCG : You call that a spread?
BCG : You call that a spread?

So. Playing with these for a bit today to get a feel for them. Uhm. Don’t use these. It seems as if you’d actually get worse. Not by practicing with them. Just by holding them. Seriously. I opened the box, and the first thing I see is pieces of cardboard sawdust floating in the air. WTH. that’s creepy to begin with. Spreads…don’t happen. Now. Card springs. Were actually good. But, that’s like,,,all you can do, cause the stock is pure cheapness. Like, leaving this so that it absorbs heat may help it be better. or not.

BCG : Uh huh. What else can't you do right.
BCG : Uh huh. What else can't you do right.

Well. This deck is currently the worst deck on this blog at the moment. Faro. Very very difficult. I had to use more than just my arms (like, side twisting my body to get the right angle) to get the thing to half crap faro.

Back Design: ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○

BCG : is on the left. Bee is on the right.

What is this… I don’t even ,,,

DnD’s move. Is still manageable. I guess the move was created to be done with any deck of cards. Heh.

BCG : What. The. Hell.

-BCG…clearly a knockoff of Bee. What. What is a BCG? It looks like that weird little bug thing on the front of the box. that’s still creepy. Wonder if any bugs in real life actually look like that? Maybe in china …? :/ sad thought. The top of the card box is the cleanest aspect of the deck. The Ace of Spades, seems to be a photoshop cut job of the Bee Ace of Spades. Even the ‘guarantee’ card is messed up. 2 jokers…? One w/o color. Uh whatever. I recommend. You avoid this deck at all costs. Not just money. But your card handling ability. Please. Otherwise. if you’re into collecting obscure decks, be sure not to miss this one. For everyone else,,, you wouldn’t/couldn’t/shouldn’t really find it anyways.

In other news , I have also reorganized my stash box. The decks that aren’t there are in other boxes. Heheh.

Kudos : It's a small world after all.

  1. Note that the front of the pack says “Glub Special” and that the warranty card has typos, most notably in the word “quality” (puality) and “unique” (unipue). What a ridiculous and unnecessary Chinese knockoff of a perfectly fine American product.
