Stardust Casino (2006 closing)

Its Wednesday. Such a very lazy summer. Still have about 4-5 weeks left of nothingness. I’m in South Pasadena though this Saturday. Then I’m in San Diego Sunday through Wednesday. Then I’m in Little Tokyo on Aug 15. and if things go well I’ll be in  Las Vegas on the 22nd. and maybe a few other places .—.

Casino memorabilia. Not good for everyday use. Good for keepsake/collecting purposes.

No idea how many of these were made in the same batch. Should be somewhat ’limited’. But not in the sense that everyone wants these. I got these off of Spinetti’s, which is where you should go if you want new LVC aristocrats, or Paulson Wildfires. Or these. Yea.

So, the last deck on this silly blog with the same ‘casino finish’ was the new Las Vegas Club by Aristocrat. Its. Somewhat the same on this deck. But with more slip. A lot more. That’s the only place this deck gets a check. The life on the other hand is worse than the worst bicycle deck you’ve ever  opened. Not cool. Like tabling a deck when dropping it. Does not land flat anymore. No good for doubles and stuff. Bad for cuts when cards aren’t level etc…

Faro: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

On the other hand. This is the most magically faro capable deck everrrrrrrrrrr. It’s too good. Must be where all the quality points were located when this deck was made. Rather than the stock.

Stardust’s casino cards haven’t changed much in term’s of logo. Blank backdrop with words. Used to be reddish orange, then purple. Though, this is a special batch made for the closing in 2006, so its teal.

*Look the deck is no longer flat on the table.
Of course, all cards get this done, unless its stiff. The problem is will they unbend. I think that’s how I killed this deck in under an hour. Seriously. This deck can not live with crimps, bends, super flips, shape shifter and the like. Don’t do it.

-Is there anything that stands out in this deck besides the way over the top awesome faro ability. Uhm. It comes in a Black aristocrat casino box. The jokers are neat dragons. Which are good for sandwich effects because dragons are neat. Dragons. That would probably be the only reason I’d pick up more of these decks. You get a piece of history too with the 1958-2006 date thing of the casino. A picture of the casino is one of the ad cards, the other is that barcode security scan. So as for the feel of the deck, it has more slip than you’re used to. Fans are okay, except its jumbo index and has crappy index placement. I would probably recommend this specific deck if you want to see what a perfect faro feels like. I think its attributed to the slip of the faces.
