Alright, so these things are going for around 15-20$ on Ebay which means they were within my budget. The standard limited edition with the shiny red box seems to be hovering around 50-60, and the gilded version limited to 200 seems to be in the hundreds. Well. Maybe next time with the emerald tally ho kickstarter.

What? the kickstarter went live this morning at 10am? Hope you were there…all the gilded silver editions sold out within 5 minutes. I wish I was there. Oh wait I was. I signed up 2 silver gilded and 2 limited. Go me! Super looking forward to those.
Kickstarter was sometime Fall of 2014, and they shipped to Kickstarter backers late April 2014. And then they started flooding Ebay, cause Jackson Robinson playing cards are the real deal.
Back to this deck though. The aces themselves aren’t too outstanding. The ace of spades has a similar feel to the standard tallyho aces, but its got a horn trumpet thing on top. The pips of the other aces are pretty cool, kinda small on the corner pips.

You get two jokers a double backer. Not sure what the jokers are, some miniature horseman on a miniature horse? Red and black jokers. The double backer gives you an all gold version. Shiny. Keep in mind that the metallic ink in these display decks are the same as the actual limited decks. The only real difference seems to be the box.

The decks colors are red and gold, which gets a check plus in my book. Keep watch for those emerald tallys in green and silver. Good stuff.

Spreads are visually good, with the circles on the edges laid out nicely. Corner pip/indices on face up are easily read.

Card stock is typical USPC. Nothing out of the ordinary. I think if anything, the metallic ink gives the illusion that its a better card stock. and I think we’re all okay with believing that.

Check the video for a Faro demo.

Overall. A pretty popular deck, if Ebay is any consideration. That and its a Jackson Robinson special. This deck is truly limited and currently has no plans for reproduction.
