Rilakkuma x Bearbrick Bicycle Playing Cards
Back from my business trip, and back to scheduled operations for this blog. This deck came out in 2013, but I haven’t been able to get to it until now.
Today I learned that USPC is a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation. Huh. Whatevs. Rilakkuma(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rilakkuma) is a San-X character introduced in 2003 and is made of cuteness and all that good stuff. Bearbrick is a toy made by Medicom and features popular characters, in a similar manner to those Funko Pop toys you’ve probably seen all over the place.

The color scheme is Yellow, Pink, and Brown it seems like.

So the artsy thing on the faces of this deck is that the 52 cards have a Rilakkuma face or bearbrick on it somewhere. It could be a pip, or the entire card as for royals and aces.
The Rilak in Rilakkuma is for the Japanese pronunciation of ‘relax’. Kuma is ‘bear’. The aces seem chill.

You can definitely find this deck on ebay for about 15-20$, or you could try Rakuten if you want to try international shipping. Here’s another source for those interested: Â http://www.midtowncomics.com/store/dp.asp?PRID=Rilakkuma+Bearbrick+Bicyc_1321391
Can you really be seen with cards that are pink and brown. The question is, can you afford not to? Aside from this deck, there’s the classic Bearbrick deck, Original Fake, Yomiuri Giants, Hanshin Tigers, and others if you’re into USPC decks sold in Japan.

Also a new visitor to our blog.
